26/30 Encaustic "The Beginning"
5x7 Encaustic WaterColor
Encaustic is beeswax! I attach the watercolor to a wood panel. After I use a heat gun and melt wax around the painting. This creates a gorgeous and unique look as the wax melts around the paper. This is an expensive process with beautiful results! I just wish you could see the beautiful intricacies in person. After the wax is dry I take a pearl powder to create a bit of a sparkle. As you tilt the piece in your hand the edges have a soft shimmer to them. I like adding a little bit of wonder to each and every piece.
Thank you for being part of my very first collection! I am very excited to capture a few of Gods creations. I hope you feel inspired by one of my paintings. In life, we can find ourselves discouraged. Overwhelmed by the many difficulties life presents us. Feeling we are not capable of flying over the mountain that life has placed before us. But, as a bird is born with wings we too are born with the ability to overcome life's obstacles. Both the Bird and You were created by a loving heavenly father who knows you and knows what type of feathers you would need in this life. Love the bird you've been blessed to be.
“The bird dares to break the shell, then the shell breaks open and the bird can fly openly. This is the simplest principle of success. You dream, you dare and you fly.”
